what is the best "cure" for a bulging disk in your neck?
Question:

Assuming youve already seen a DR to get this diagnosis. You need to discuss your options with him/her. There are many things they can try . Id ask about an MUA or manipulation under anastesia. NO CUTTING. You will need your x-rays and your MRI film to determine if this method could be effective for you. I had this done on my neck about 9 years ago I had no ill side affects and I was immediately able to move my head and neck and any tingeling in my arms left . I recently had one for my lumbar spine that helped the tingeling in my right leg but not the rest. So its not for everyone. Your Dr. may sugest physical therapy as well there are many different types he/she may reccomend but you really need to discuss this with your DR as we dont know your medical history here. Only together will you be able to start on a good road to recovery and be patient it takes time.
Surgery where they remove or replase or fuse disc is usually a last resort try other methods first. As these can have bad efects. That may make you worse off then when you started.

I would see a doctor. Spine injuries can get serious fast. I would make an appointment today.
This can be quite serious and painful. There are several types of operations that can be performed where they fuse the disks so that they are not bulging and placing pressure on the nerves. Or there is an experimental operation where they suck some of the contents out of the disk so that it isn't bulding. The narrowing of the area in the spine that holds the nerves that run down your arms and into your hands is what causes the pain. It can lead to numbness and potential damage. Seeking treatment for this is important. Speaking to several neurologists and getting their opinion about what would be best for your individual situation is best. Do not procrastinate about seeking help from your doctors and do some research on the internet to see what is the best solution. Good luck,
have them repaired, had the same problem. ended up with plates and screws in my neck, youll have real problems if any pieces of disk get to your spine, like headaches from hell. another problem is it will cause the nerve to die if its traped to long.mine was and its causing me lots of pain in my arms, hand, shoulder. go to uva.
