Left hand, shaking?

Question:
I was sitting in my bathroom drawing my faucet on a piece of paper for about an hour today (strange, eh?). I noticed towards the end of this period that my left hand (not my dominant) was kind of shaking. I guess I was probably holding up the book my paper was under the whole time. So right now my hand still kind of tremors whenever I grasp something in my hand. It's fine if I relax it though.

Has anyone else had anything like this before? My mom has hypothyroidism, and that causes hand tremors, but they seem different than this.

Answers:
Yes I have had the 'tremors' especially when I was younger. Sometimes my hands would shake so badly I couldn't write and this was difficult in school. My Dad and his family twitch and tremor and my Dad is supposed to have low thyroid hormone. If the shaking continues then become concerned but I am middle aged now and it's just been an idiosyncrasy of mine and no real problem. If it happens frequently or is bad enough and you are worried, then please see a doctor.
