HELP now, please.Think I gotten a slightly infected finger-nail.....?

Question:
I am not proud to admit that I am still a nail-biter; and I must have bitten apiece of skin, deeply. Now its little puffy, pinkish and throbbs.
What should I be soaking it with; warm water or cool water.?Or anything else, huh??

Answers:
Wash it really well with an antibacterial soap. Soaking in warm water will help the throbbing. After soaking - apply some hydrogen peroxide and/or an antibacterial ointment. If you start developing fever or if you see the redness spreading - see a doctor. (They also have special medicines for nail infections at most of your local beauty supply stores.)

Other Answers:
wash it with anti-bacterial soap put some alchol on it to clean it,wrap it with a bandage and go to the hospital asap.
Soak it in warm water and Epsom salts, keep it clean and dry. Don't wear a band-Aid on it so long that the skin gets soggy. You can also try hydrogen peroxide (it will sting) to rinse out any dirt or debris that gets in there.
