A great nurse...?

Question: Have you ever had an experience---in a hospital, clinic, home setting, ANYwhere---where a nurse was really exceptional?

(I think we all mean well; some don't show it so much in certain areas. Some are more clinical than compassionate; & vice versa...)

Anyway,what made that particular one stand out from the other health care staff?

Answers:
Some one who took care of my grandmother when she broke her hip and had to stay in an assisted living center.
The nurse always checked in on her more than was expected of her, and the main thing that I admired about her was and ability to speak to my confused grandmother in a respectful , patient manner.
