How can I cope with Oxycontin withdrawals?

Question:
I suffered an injury (fractured spine) three months ago and have been on Oxycontin since. I finished them about ten days too early and now I suffering from the withdrawal symptoms. The doctor, of course, won't prescribe any more until refill time.

Answers:
Explain the situation to your prescribing doc. Since you finished the prescription early it is an indication to him/her that you were taking too much of it and not as prescribed. A 'good' doctor, if you are honest will help you withdraw from this med. Good Luck to you and I hope your injuries have healed and you are able to live a great quality of life.

Other Answers:
maybe a couple beers will take the edge off
meth.
Pray about it, surendder to teh Lord, He will give you more strength than you could ever imagine being in you!
Find another doctor that will prescribe them to you and slowly wean yourself off of them. Be careful though, oxycontin is highly addictive and can destroy your life, if you can not find a doctor to help you, just suffer it out and stay away from it. There is nothing thta can really be done to take the edge off with out using other drugs.
