How do you speed nerve regeneration?

Question:
Puncture wound in fingertip destroyed nerve. Is there a way to help out the regenerating the nerve? btw, there is now scar tissue in the way.

Answers:
Nerve regeneration is a very slow process. It may take years. But ensure you take the B-complex vitamins like Vit B6 (Pyridoxine), Thiamine, and cobolamin (B12). They will help.
Nope, you are stuck with a numb thumb.
I know someone that severed a nerve in his finger and had to have surgery to repair the nerve. I was unaware that the nerve could regenerate.
No smoking, no drinking, no caffeine...they interfere with the healing process.
I don't think it's possible. There was a drug treatment once called FK506 but I think it was recalled. Best to talk with your physician about treatment options.
