Does having a nose job (rhinoplasty) hurt?

Question: I am looking into getting a crooked nose fixed but am really afraid of hospitals and that sort of thing. What is it like? Does it hurt and is going under scary? Operating rooms seem really creepy to me.

No, you fall asleep during the entire operation.

When you wake up, your nose will be stuffy and it will itch. You have to be calm and ignore that and learn to breathe a little bit differently. If there is significant pain after you wake up, they have medication for that. Often they will have you rest and observe your breathing for a couple of hours before letting you go home.
