Is the "flushing philosophy" of "if its yellow let it mellow, if its brown, flush it down" bad for our health?

Question:
Ie: does leaving pee in the toilet bowl for hours on end until someone has to go "Number 2" cause more germs to be in the air or on the toilet?

Answers:
Urine from most people is sterile. As a matter of fact, in emergency situations urine has been used to wash dirt from wounds to prevent infection. What makes the smell from urine is something most bacteria do not like. The bacteria which can live from it (denitrifying) are not pathogenic to humans.

It's more of an aesthetic thing than a health issue.

;-)
If you can smell it it's in the air FYI. That's how smelling works, so if you can smell it I'd ditch that move.
