What is used to re-brake bones?

Question:
My mom has to get her finger re-broken, because it was fused together so I'm just curious.

Answers:
As terrible and barbaric as it is, usually simply brute, human force...with lots of anasthetics of course.

Other Answers:
sheer strength and brute force.
OUCH! I don't know...best wishes to your mom.
A baseball bat. Oh, did you mean medically?
usually a saw - its just a term
a brick or a hammer
Doctors hands and occasional knee. I had several bones re-broken. It isn't all that bad. It will make you hollar a curse word or two, but the pain subsides a few moments later.
If a person waits too long before seeking medical treatment, there is a risk of the bone 'fusing' incorrectly. That means that it has attempted to correct itself...incorrectly. In other words it mended itself partially without being in correct position for proper healing. The physician usually breaks the bone using brute force or a surgical procedure...times and techniques do vary. There should be some interesting information at the website given below:
