I read a book by a cardiologist who said that it's okay to have two cups of caffienated coffee or tea a day and then you should switch to decaff. The reason for this was because too much caffiene can cause your pancreas to produce too much insulin which can lead to diabetes. So, the coffee isn't bad for you, just too much caffiene is bad for you.
