i had a recent neck injury from auto accident and i
1.turn my head from left to right and right to left then roll my shoulders.
2.also use warm compress and lots of excedrin.
3.try massaging your head and the back of your neck.
4. shower with massager head on it.

The best way to relax your back is doing as you say "Stretch", that way you are freeing some toxic from every single muscle; drink a lot of water, because b/c does toxic aint good for your body.and then hot tub.for at least 15-20 minutes, thats like puting a chicken breast in hot water, you can see as it frees all that juice and alll that junk.
