I am REALLY concerned!!?

Question: My sister in law's boyfriend is insisting that his grandmother place sugar on my nephew's soft spot (their son) and suck up his soft spot!!! The grandmother claims that this closes the softspot for the child and it is completely normal...I AM HORRIFIED and feel this is child abuse, has anyone else heard of this?!?! I advised my sis in law to keep her son as far away from this crazy lady as possible! BTW, she has done this to her other NINE grandkids, I am ready to call CPS!
