Question:
Answers:
Blood sample for liver function test can be done in most of the healthcare facilities. This group of tests looks at your liver enzymes. The method is by venous blood sample (i.e. taking blood at your arm). An liver or hepatobiliary ultrasound will look at your liver & its surrounding for any growth, cirrhosis etc. The blood test can be done on the next doctor visit while for the ultrasound, some places needs an appointment , some you can walk-in with a doctor's order. Pricing ranges between facilities - ask around.

Why not consult your doctor first? There is nothing that can beat professionaly advice, and in any case if you have reason to be concerned then you are best to get professional advice. I think you can have a liver biopsy & even a urine test will reveal some light on the health of your liver but if you are drinking heavily or suffering any symptoms of liver disease then you need to consult your GP asap!! Good luck!
No, you will need to go to the doc early in the morning he will take some blood samples and have it analysed - thats all.
I had to pay nothing because the insurance covers that.
The blood test will reveal the status of the liver, if there is reason for concern they will tell you what steps have to be taken next (ultra sonic, biopsy etc)
a simple blood test will determine how your liver and kidneys are working,I live in the UK where we get it done on the NHS free if needed so sorry dont know how much
Of course, liver function tests are easy and simple and only a little stick. Your doctor's lab will probably have the result in minutes. then after you consult, he takes a big fee and you can leave.
.to go across the street have a cup of coffee and figure out how youre ever going to be insured again. That's because if your liver function tests ARE abnormal, your doc needs to figure out why- are you drinking your liver to injury? Do you have chronic hepatitis B or C? Do you have congestive heart disease which is injuring your liver?
Those are the big three, and there is no cure for any of them. You may never be insured by another carrier if you have any of them.
A simple, easy test. Are you sure you want to know? Can you conceal the results from your insurer?
