My sister uses Imitrex, and swears by it. It used to be administered only by injection, but now they've made it available in capsule form. See http://www.Imitrex.com
Also, I used to try an ice pack on my head. It helps minimally, but at least it did something.

However, there are some aromas that stand out from the crowd as headache killers: peppermint, sandlewood , lavender(my favorite), and eucalyptus. Try each of these, and combinations. Use essential oils for massage, or use candles or soaps.
