What is a good home remedy for dry cracked heels and toes on your feet.?
Question:
MAYBE SOMEONE OUT THERE CAN HELP JUST A LITTLE.
Answers:
Soak them daily ,I use loreal body wash and a soft scrub. If you do that often you will find the callus and dry skin goes away leaving the newer skin behind. It is part of my home care regiment, it is so easy to neglect our poor feet and they carry the load for us. I put my hand creams on as well from time to time and a little baby powder. Feels great too! ~A~
olive oil rubbed in is great for the skin as well!
Other Answers:
Nothing a little spunk between the toes wont take care of.
vaseline all over your feet (coat them well) put on some socks and go to bed ....depending on how bad they are one or two nights should do the trick.
yeah yeah someone answer this one. i need the answer too
get a heel file board at the drugstore to slough off the dead skin and put baby oil or lotion on after.
Gross.
I don't mean to sound shallow but I could never date a woman with ugly feet.
Ugh. Please start taking better (or should I say BASIC) care of yourself.
It will make you feel better about yourself and you will get more attention from others.
Sorry if that sounded rude...just want you to know how serious this issue is.
Try using petroleum jelly sweetheart.
get a waxer. it works well. do it once a week. it is HOT but it really does work.
soak the feet in speacial stuff lotion and
Rub vaseline all over your feet, and then wrap them in plastic wrap and put on a pair of socks. In the morning your feet will be nice and soft. Do this once or twice a month, and on the other nights rub some jojoba oil, almond oil or even olive oil on your feet before you go to bed. You'll have nary a dry patch in sight.
BUY LOTION THAT IS MADE FOR CRACKING SKIN. PUT THE LOTION ON AND THEN PUT ON A CLEAN PAIR OF SOCKS. IT SHOULD SOFTEN YOUR FEET.
try rubbing them with olive oil. It does wonders.......
Go to bed bath and beyond, they have special socks there that you pull over the moisturizing lotion so that you wear them at night. Also, a parafin machine there will cost you only about 40 bucks, and it will help after a couple of treatments of dipping your feet in to it.
You could also go and get a pedicure, but only if your feet aren't actually open wounds.. If they are.. I would suggest a trip to the doc/podiatrist first to clear you.. so you don't get infected.
there is a lotion/gel called Aquaphor that is great...apply before bedtime or before you wear shoes with socks
use a good foot cream. you should not over apply it. just fill the cracks and rub it on entire foot. wear socks/stockings on them while sleeping so that you dont mess the bed sheet. you must drink at least 3-4 bottles of water a day. and yes dont walk bare foot.
Basically it is a mositure problem.......
I'd lve to rub them day/night for you.
soak your feet and then soak a pumice stone then scrub your feet, after you have scrubbed them put vaseline on them then cotton socks-make this a weekly habit
After a while you may be able to just use a thick lotion instead of vaseline
Kerasal works miracles!! My mom's feet used to be seriously dried out and cracked. She used Kerasal and now they are soft and not cracked! It's about 8 dollars but it lasts for forever.
I think the stuff is called Kerasal. You can get it in the drug store or supermarket. It is by the bandaids, etc. Anyway, it makes your heels feel great. I just put it on and go to bed with socks on. In the morning...viola!
You need to go get yourself a pedicure first then every night before you go to bed put some lotion on your feet and put on a pair of cotton socks this will keep your feet soft and pretty. Once every month treat yourself to a pedicure and yes you need to take at least that 45 minutes a month for yourself. I know how busy life can be!
you could mix cooking oil and lotion together, two time a day
I had this problem and found the most effective low-cost product that resolved it is called "Hoof Saver", which comes in a 32 ounce pump and can be found on Ebay for low cost plus shipping. It contains collagen, has a great mild scent and is also excellent for strengthening fingernails and keeping hands soft and crack-free.
I sent this to my mother who suffers from cracking fingers and it is keeping her crack-free. This can also be found in feed stores and places where horse products are sold.
Wearing sandals infrequently also helps.
I had this problem myself, several years ago. My husband suggested I use something like Vick's Vapor Rub or a Mentholatum type ointment. (usually you use this when your head is stopped up and you can't breathe, or it's rubbed on your chest when you have a cold, etc.) But it sounded like it might work since it's medicated too. It has worked wonderfully for me and I no longer have cracked heels. Put it on at night before you go to bed, and then put on a pair of socks to sleep in. I have found that I can get this product at the dollar store alot cheaper, and it's just as good as the name brand! Good luck, and let me know how it works for you!
Try the medicated Gold Bond. When you put your socks on, DOUSE the insides of them with the powder. It should make a big *** cloud if you have enough. Then, at night, rub some good lotion on your feet; make sure it has Aloe. No need to wrap them in anything. One important thing is getting the right shoes. Don't buy thick leather boots or shoes. Make sure there is good air flow in whatever you get. And one more thing: ALL hardcore runners have jacked up feet. You can't help it. When you apply lotion, it forms a durable layer of lotion on your skin. It won't come off when you sleep. Good Luck.
it is better if you avoid sandals. always wear socks [100% cotton, stretchable] and shoes or atleast the kind of footwear that covers your heel. no need to wrap plastic around feet. u may spread a small, 2x1 feet, plastic sheet on the bed where u place your feet. use proper shoes for walking/jogging/running and don't forget the socks.
here is a home remedy you can try:
Ingredients: LEMON JUICE
Instructions: SOAK YOUR FEET IN LEMON JUICE FOR ABOUT 10MIN. ON A WEEK TO WEEK BASIS, IF SEVERE EVERY 4 TO 5 DAYS UNTIL YOU SEE SOME CHANGE IN YOUR FEET
Cracked Heels
Soak your feet in warm/hot water for approximately 10 minutes. Take Lava Soap (this is the brand name of the soap) and scrub your heels. Continuously feel your heels for signs of smoothing. Rinse as normal.
I live in FL, and wear sandals year round! Plus I have really dry skin. The only thing I have ever found that works is Mirical Foot Repair. Put it on every night at bed time, I keep mine beside my bed.
I Also use a pumice stone in the shower every day. It may also help to sleep in a pair of socks after you put on the lotion.
Just about all the previous answers will work. Personally I have found the use of any good lotion on a REGULAR basis makes a big difference.
I move my Paraffin Wax (hot wax like used in nail salons for your hands) to the floor then
I soak my feet in Johnson's Foot Soak for 10-15 minutes dry thoroughly, next lotion them up & dip my heals or entire foot in the hot or warm wax & leave on for at least 15 minutes and lotion them up one more time. Best done at the end of your day. I have found doing this several times a week will do the trick & it is very relaxing.
