How do doctors get paid their commissions for writing R/X's?

Question:
I have a prescription tracking form in my medical records and it shows every prescription and where it was filled and even if it did not "Show". Who send this info back to the doctor?

Answers:
the pharmacist
Doctors do not get paid "commisions." That is illegal. The state I believe keeps records of doctors prescriptions and the drug companies can review this information. Also for scheduled substances and drug enforcement they may follow prescribing trends. It is just not true that doctors get "commissions."
