Is it a good idea to get in shape before surgery?

Question:
I am facing a surgery in a month and a half to have a bone tumor half the size of a tennis ball removed from my hip. I have two children, one disabled and I can't am worried about healing time since I don't have family or friends nearby. I am trying to research the best way to prepare physically for a surgery to speed recovery time and the best way to heal. I would be very grateful for helpful responses. I am not overweight, don't drink or smoke, don't eat so great, and somewhat sedentary...nothing more active than household duties, for example. I am very concerned about my children's care. :(

Answers:
always be in shape before a surgery. Surgeons will have a much easier time cutting, and there will be less of a chance for complicatgions and sepsis, if they dont have to get through excess tissue, I E fat
Walking exercises with your children will not only improve your fitness level, you will be able to bond with your children even more, plus walking is gentle to the body. What is required is dedication, it has to be done regularly for most benefit.

During your walks, you can discuss about life, explore the beauty of nature, let them feel that you love them a lot.

Here_nor_there, hope that your surgery will go smoothly and that you will heal the soonest possible time. You are a fabulous parent for thinking about your children's welfare even during this situation, may you be blessed.
recover is a long process only way you can speed it up is by listening to your dr. you do not need to be in shape before sugery it will not speed the process. each person is unique and will heal when their body is ready. I have had a few sugeries and belive me you will get better when you do. cant rush it.. will only make it harder. when i had my tonsils out i refused to stop smoking and it took the two weeks to recover like the doctor said. only because i didnt listen. they say longer to make the worse situations normal..... so listen to your doc and take care.
