a few minutes of meditation works for me 5.0 on the treadmill with a real good cd on. OR a double of Balvenie 10 year scotch and some goof Jazz with my dog.


Yoga allows for meditation and brings you into the present moment. Much of the time, we find ourselves stuck in the static of life- too much going on at once. But with yoga, you can primarily focus on what is happening in the moment, and you can also develop mantras that help you stay in the moment. Doing yoga, you also learn meditation. One of my favorite ways to meditate is also a form of self-hypnosis. I like to visualize my feelings (or the problem(s) or person(s) that are stressing me out). For example- maybe I have lower back pain, and it makes me feel weak and hurting. Say that visualize that pain as black shards. I can then suggest to myself that rather than black shards, I imagine golden sparkles. This kind of subconsious visualization of feelings can suprisingly change the way you feel about the situations that are bothering you on the surface.
