How can I get rid of a boil on my daughter's behind?

Question:
My daughter is ten months old. She has a boil on her bottom. It is really hurting her. The nurse at her drs office said to give it a few days. Is there anything I can do to make it go away faster?

Answers:
Well, soaking in warm water works for older people. Not sure about a baby. Maybe you should see another Dr. They should be able to do SOMETHING to help the little baby girl. Those are painful.. :(

Other Answers:
It may not be a boil. It could be MRSA. You need to make sure this has been properly diagnosed.

Try peroxide applied with a Q-tip. POP IT!

There is something you can buy that draws the puss out of boils.I forgot the name though.it has a tar base in it I think, found in pharmacies.other than that you can apply a hot/warm wash cloth to the area for a while/as long as she can stand it without being uncomfortable.this might help comfort her somewhat.but just don't try to lance it open yourself though.you don't want her to get a staph infection

A doctor should be the one to take care of it.

Yes the mebrane of an egg. This is the thin film inside the egg shell. peel it off and put it on the boil this will help bring it to a head. A boil is an infection so I recommend having the doctor look at her to make sure it isnt an idication of a more serious problem. Boilds can be painful so you can put a topical anesthetic like bioileze on it to make her more comfortable. I hope this is helpful and happy fathers day DAD
Dont pop it POP please

Maybe you should see a dermatologist right away and maybe, he/she could tell you the best thing for it. With my experience with my dad Regranx worked really good but it's only avalible by prescription. That seemed to work the best Go to the drugstore and ask the pharmacist for Domeboro's powder. Tell him how old she is, but I'm 99% sure it's ok for anyone. You make a bath with the powder and sit her in it. It helps dry and 'draw' out the boil. It should burst on it's own and you can cover it with a soft gauze pad before applying a fresh diaper. An antibiotic ointment should be applied once it has burst.
You should follow the directions or your pharmacist's advice. Or in the event you can't go to the drugstore, use hot (as she can stand) washclothes on it or sit her in hot water.
