Answers:
Well It sucks but your employer CAN FIRE YOU. Did you turn it in to you states work comp department ? Are you getting benefit ?
Look in the phone book for a work comp attorney Make sure it is one that won"t charge if you don't get money and find out how much percent they take. I hate to say it but they will make you spend 40 hours a week job searching and applying for jobs and will will be lucky in the end to end up with a few thousand VERY FEW THOUSANDS and it could take years while you go with out income or enough income to even survive on, believe it or not and I don't mean to scare you but alot of people lose there homes and everything. It is a long hard scary road you have to travel on. The best thing for any one to do is if you are in danger of getting hurt on the job refuse to do it and you can it's the law. GOOD LUCK
seems like you answered your own question, try to get one who will work pro bono. if you have kept good documentation of what has happened leading up to what has become of this issue i don't see how you can lose, except in the case that it can be proven by the employer that an illegal substance was involved,
or sever neglect on your part was involved.
