lower back pain?
Question:
Answers:
If you had no prior reasons for suspecting your kidneys then I would have to say that you strained your back. Use cold packs for the swelling and pain for 24-36 hours. When the pain and swelling subside, use moist heat for the next 48-72 hours. Then see a massage therapist for a few sessions until you find total relief. I wouldn't count on doing anything strenuous for the next week at least. Good luck to you!

go and see your doctor
I have lower back problems as well; I find that laying on a hard surface like the floor helps relieve the pain It could be your kidneys, I won't lie. It could be a number of things. The best thing to do is to go to your doctor.
the only way that you can find out if its your kidney or not is to go to the Doctor, they will test for both, Don't wait too long though you don't want to get an infection that takes a long painful time to clear up.
Go see an osteopath. (They have "D.O." after their names instead of "M.D.".) They are kind of like a MD and a chiropractor rolled into one physician. Osteopaths receive specialized training specifically for issues like this and are MUCH better at diagnosing and treating back issues.
Then, if your DO suggests a massage therapist, go to one. They're awesome! And lots of DO's have a preferred MT's that they can usually reccomend. But if you go to a massage therapist without consulting a physician first, you can actually do more harm than good. Massage can actually make certain conditions worse.
Before taking any other action, go see a DO.
