why havei got these blood spots appearing on my skin?
Question:
Answers:
What you are describing sounds like a hemangioma. They are growths on the skin made up of tiny blood vessels. They often appear as a purple or red, raised spot on the skin.
Hemangiomas can be present at birth, but it is not unusual for them to appear over the years, especially after your are an adult. I hardly had any in my 20s, and now I have quite a few. I haven't pursued it, but as I understand it, the only way to remove them is through laser treatments.
I can tell you one thing, I had one on my leg that was elevated off the skin. I had learned from experience that if it was nicked they would bleed.a lot.but once I inadvertantly cut it off completely while shaving my legs. It bled for hours, but once it stopped it never grew back.

I DON'T KNOW , BUT GETTING A DERMATOLOGIST TO LOOK AT IT, WOULD PROBABLY BE FOR THE BEST. SHE SHOULD HAVE REFERRED YOU IMMEDIATELY TO A SPECIALIST BEING THAT YOU ARE PREGNANT AND SHE DID NOT KNOW WHAT IT WAS. GOOD LUCK!
don't believe the doctor's their not GOD!! i would see an herbalist or someone who practices natural medicine. this is gonna sound unbelievable but their is a cure for aids and cancer. i've seen it happen first hand. i've been taking kung-fu for about 12 years and it's all about natural healing. if you want you can call my teacher his name is jamie 508-828-1257 or check out his website www.wahlumkungfuacademy.com
Have you been tested for leukemia? Do you take medications that keep your blood thin? Any reason to think you might have aids? Do you have rosacea? Could be a number of reasons. Why don't you look at images of rosacea on the internet and see if they are similiar? And read up on leukemia, ecchymosis, purpura.not sure if this will help, but it's a start. You really should see another doctor, preferably a dermatologist. This does not sound normal.
Don't listen to these mostly stupid answers by these ignorant people on Yahoo! First you need to speak with you OB Doctor and show him. It may be something related to your pregnancy or exacerbated by your pregnancy. Next, you need to talk to him about a referral to a specialist if he thinks it is something to be concerned about. Go a step at a time and stop running all over asking people who know nothing about medicine!
