I want to dye my hair from a very dark brown/red to a light blonde. Any tips that wont wreck my hair or ideas?

Every time I have tried to dye my hair blonde myself it always turns it orange or red. I have reddish brown hair also. I would go to Sally's Beauty Supply and ask them what you can use . They can help you and will tell you exactly what to use to keep it from turning it red.

go to a professional, don't do it at home. because you are going from dark to light it is harder to do unless your "bleaching" it at which doing it at home you have a higher risk of frying your hair. take the safe road and go to a pro, it will cost you more in the end but would you rather have a nice full head of hair or be pulling it out in clumps?

i suggest you go to a salon for this one. you are going to have to completely strip all of the color from your dark hair to dye it the color you want. it can really leave your hair bad shape if it is not done just so. leave it to the proffesionals.
