I have a cold- Does this qualify me for a sick day from school?

Question:

My nose is stuffy and drippy, I have headache, a fever, a cough, and occasionally I feel queasy. Does this qualify me to take a sick day from school? I've been in bed all weekend to try and get better but it isn't helping.

Hi there, depends on how high the fever is. Usually if it is above 100, I would say stay home, but below that i'd say go to school. If you go to school though and still feel bad, go to your nurse there and have her take your temp and let her know your symptoms. Good luck and hope you get to feeling better!!

Fevers usually mean you are contagious. Do the world a favor and stay home!
