umm falling hair huh gravity lol just kidding don'y no why you are losing your hair
Falling hair is caused by gravity...seriously.

See the doctor if you think it is that much falling. Likely it is something common. If your hair is that long, gravity (the weight of you hair) may be progressively pulling out some. If you are tangling it more, because it is longer and tangles more, the tearing of strands as you comb it may be doing this.

Are you blow drying it excessively, too hot? You may be damaging it. Are you using a different shampoo? something that is acting like a harsh chemical? Stop using it for awhile.

Are you eating different?

Check the strands, are the roots on it, or is it torn from other hairs? It may be a clue.

A hairdresser may help diagnosis also.

I would bet it is the length. Maybe you need to trim a little to take the stress off the hair...
Both an over-active thyroid and an under-active thyroid can cause hair loss. there are some medical causes of hair loss, which include alopecia areata, arterial insufficiency, skin burns, cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, cellulitis of the scalp, dermatitis, fungal infection, Hodgkin's disease, chemotherapy effects, hypopituitarism, hypothyroidism, lichen planus, lupus, thyrotoxicosis, syphilis, seborrheic dermatitis, sarcoidosis, malnutrition, and scleroderma.

Medications can be the cause of hair loss include allopurinol, thyroid medications, beta-blockers, carbamazepine, colchicine, gentamicin, heparin, oral contraceptives, indomethacin, lithium, excess of vitamin A, and warfarin.

Severe stress has also been identified as a cause of sudden hair loss because it interferes with the inner workings of the body’s hormones. This can be psychological stress or trauma to the body following an accident or major surgery

People that experience sudden hair loss contact their doctor immediately to try to find the causes of sudden hair loss. If there is no underlying stress or side effects from medication, sudden hair loss could be a warning sign of the early onset of a disease such as diabetes or lupus or even an infection of the scalp.
