I don't know anything about that particular chiropractor, but I know a little bit about the decompression machine, so maybe I can help with that. I used to work in a chiropractic office, and we had a ton of patients who swore by the DRX9000 machine.
The notion behind the machine is like anti-gravity. It removes the pressure on the disks (mainly used for herniated disks, but it can be applied to other causes of back pain) and allows the bulging fluid to be pulled/sucked back in. This would then take the pressure off of the nerves, which causes pain.
There were a few people who found the machine to be uncomfortable, but the majority of the patients liked it. Hope I helped!
