Answers:
Ganglion cysts are usually noticed as bumps under the skin. It is caused by inflamed tissue around joints and they fill up with a lubricating liquid. Some can be painless others mild to moderate pain can occur. Treatments include rest, splinting (depending on the location) and for those that are severe sometimes the fluid can be drained. Check out Web MD they have some info there. Good Luck.

Other Answers:
a ganglion is a lump on the body, normaly the wrist or foot. it is filled with fluid. if it doesnt go on its own, then it can either be drained of fluid or it can be surgically removed
I have a ganglion cyst on my left wrist. These used to be called "Bible Cysts" because they were treated by being hit by a large book (and one big book that everybody had was the Bible), which releases the fluid. My mother had one when she was a child, her doctor put a large book on it and hit the book with a hammer. I just kept mine. About a year ago it split into two little ones instead of one big one. Good luck.
