You're addicted. The nicotine craving is beginning to well up within you. Resist the darkside...
You miss the feeling. It's a hard habit to break! My Dad has not smoked in 10 years. (He was a 3 packer).. I dropped a cig out of my pack the other day and he said, "Pick that UP!, It makes me wanna smoke!" You never lose that urge. You just have to control it!!!!!
The reason you want to smoke again is if you are around people that smoke. You can't stand it when they smoke around you and that is why you want to smoke. When you have the urge to smoke you should just try to turn the other way when you see people smoke or you should just put a pack of Dentyne gum or other gums that help you stop the urge to smoke in your mouth. Just chew gum when you fel the urge to smoke.
I have stopped smoking NUMEROUS times. I believe smoking is definitly addictive. Once i quit for almost a year then i had a traumatic experience, bummed a smoke & it was as if i had never quit. It takes will power and a little help from the Lord but -stick with it- you'll love yourself more. lol
I quit smoking about 6yrs ago. For the first year I always felt the urge off and on. It is a hard addiction to break. Gum and hard candies really helped. Keep with it eventually it will get better and you will reach a point when a smoker comes around you and you can't stand the smell. It will amazed you that you never realized you smelled that badl!!!!!!!!! Just that will make you not want to start again. But it is a long hard battle. GOOD LUCK STICK WITH IT
Once a smoker always a smoker ... but better to be a smokless smoker!!!

My dad quit when diagnosed with Emphasema, and 25 years later, a lung transplant later, he would still have cravings when someone lit up ... or when he drove by a house that a smoker was on the pourch smoking ... or even when he drove by a bar that had smokers in it. Yes, a non-smoker who quit can smell nicoteen forever and a year away. He did stay smoke free from his stop date though ... but he sure loved to complain about the smell sensations he experienced ... he was like a blood hound.
