is it possible that my scoliosis returns after surgery?

I had surgery 5 years before my accident , i had car acident on 2002 and Im a low level quadriplegic, C7,for my scoliosis and have rod in my back from T1 to L1... Now its been almost 5 years after my injury and I see the same symptoms..my back and shoulder on left side is kinda swollen compare to right and my left shoulder is soooo painful that I can barely push my chair... last 2 years I did racing and even with race chair I had the same problem of painful shoulder on left... I'm so worried that maybe my scoliosis is back..is it possible? do you think massage therapy or physio might help?

I guess it could be possible that it has come back. Talk to your specialist and see if there aren't any corrective physical therapy that can be performed to repair the muscle loss and straighten your spine. You also may want to have the therapist check for shoulder cuff damage. That can cause the discomfort and swelling.
