Is an x-ray an accurate form of diagnosing degenerative discs or is a CT or MRI required? Need to know.?

Question:
My doctor noticed damage on the x-ray but WCB's medical advisor doesn't acknoledge it as being of {clinical significance} Who do I believe?

Answers:
consider the x-ray as a sort of preliminary examination. if anything unusual shows up then a more detailed examination may be required, like a CT or an MRI scan, especially if you are experiencing symptoms related to the x-ray findings.

i hope your medical advisor isn't saying that just to save on costs.

Other Answers:
The x-ray will show a vertebra alignment that would indicate a degenerative disc, but you'd need an MRI to see the condition of the disc itself.
