How to fix a sore back?

Question:
I started cracking my own back a while ago. I did it for probably two-three months. i noticed that my back was sore and hurt if i move certain ways. i stopped cracking my back and it is still sore, will this go away in time, or are there any exercises i can do to help?

Answers:
It depends on what kind of pain it is. Does it feel like a muscle pain (a constant soreness) or a "pinched nerve" type of pain (if you move, a sudden "spark" of pain comes and goes). If it's either of these, you can try cold and heat therapy. Use a cold pack for 15 minutes every hour (or, as often as you can when you're at home) to reduce the swelling until the pain is relieved. Then, use a heating pad for a few days to keep it relaxed.
acupuncture helps
sleep with a heating pad on your back and have it on high!
hope your back feels better!
Try a chiropractor or do a search on line for back stretches.
Goo pain relief and then gentle back exercises.
By 'cracking your back,' I presume you mean bending until you get some sort of snap-crackle-pop sound?

What part of your back is sore? (neck, base of neck, shoulders, mid-back, lower back)

The next time you go to your doctor, ask for a set of back exercises. Not only will this make him deleriously happy (I think most medical plans these days emphasize patient involvement with healthcare and "wellness"), but he will be able to ask you questions which will help him direct you to the exercises, physical therapy or chiropractic treatment(s) you may need.
Take a warm bath and stay in there for a while.
See a real doctor. Not a chiropractor. They only fix it temporarily. An neurologist or neurosurgeon would be best.
