I have back problems and i cant find a doctor to give me prescriptions for pain killers?

Question:
I am 26 and have had back problems for 5 years and have been to several drs but all of the drs i have been to either say i am to young to be on pain kilers or they think that im there just to get drugs for recreational use. I have had several MRI's and they say "oh its just a bulging disc everyone has those" But mine causes severe pain and causes my legs to go numb. And i dont have have a low tolerance to pain either. I can tolerate alot of pain normally but this is just excruciating sometimes. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Answers:
I had an auto accident and because off disk problem the chiropracter found one leg shorter than other. He ordered a lift for my shoe of the short leg 3/4" and pain ased
Sound like you need to find a street corner pharmacy.

Insurance don't cover those prescriptions though....and those MRI's won't keep you out of jail if you get caught.
I really empathize with you. Because of all of the drug abuse involving pain medications, doctors are reluctant to prescribe them no matter how bad your pain is. I know because I had severe back pain and the doctor prescribed "physical therapy). My pain was so severe I could barely walk, so I used some hrdrcodone that I had from before that I didn't finish, and they worked great, I told the doctor that and like you, he made me feel like a drug addict. If only they could feel the pain for 5 minutes!!!! I don't have many left, so don'tknow what to do after that. Maybe try another doctor. ANyway, good luck to you and hopefully the doctors won't force us to hit the streets buying illegal pain medications for our real pain.
