I worked night shift, so how can I sleep tight at day?
Question:
Answers:
I also work nights, so I know how you feel.
Don't go to bed hungry; have a light snack, like cereal or fruit.
Make your room dark; wear eyeshades if you have them.
Keep your room cool so you don't wake up from being too hot.
I like to turn on my fan, the white noise drowns out little sounds from around me, and the breeze helps me to stay comfortable.
I hope these suggestions help.

Take a benedril.
Dude, I also work night shift, hell, I work graveyard shift. But what I do, is go straight to bed when I get home and close all windows so no noise comes in. have one or two shots of your favourite alcohol
Use ear plugs and a dark cover for your eyes.
Try not sleeping as soon as you come back home, start at noon time, that way it will be like an extended nap.
By all means, this is not healthy on the long run.
there are special curtains that you can get that are made to block out light. It is important to block out light. When your body is in the light it produces a chemical that makes you stay awake. I forget what it is called but just make your room dark, it will help. I have black out curtains, which help a great deal. I also turn the AC on high because when it is cold your body wants to conserve energy and you sleep more easily. You can try a sleeping pill if you have trouble falling asleep during daylight hours.
Tylenol PM. Works like a charm, rids you of tiring muscles and body aches, and allows you to wake up without being so groggy.
See to it the room is as dark as possible. Set a cd with calming music to play on repeat all. This will become similar to "white noise" and drown out other sounds which might wake you.

I have worked night shift for 2yrs and it is not easy however, I have noticed if you put up a dark sheet over your window or use a sleep mask and some ear plugs or some white noise like a fan you can get some quality sleep. Nights is never easy it stresses you out and makes you crabby avoid it if you can. Good Luck!
