My new leather shoes hurt the front of my toes and back, but they are the right size, how do I stretch them?
How to remove a stitch on my finger?
Answers:
I've tried 2 ways in the past. One way is to dampen the leather and then put in a shoe stretcher, or wear them with thick socks on for an hour. You might have to do this a few times. Success rate: not so good. Will it wreck the leather: Maybe
The best way is buy a commercial leather/shoe stretching product from a shoe store and follow the instructions. But Note: It will probably leave 'stretch marks' on the shoes. It does work, though, especially if the shoes don't have to stretch too much to fit.

Honestly, your new shoes are too small.
Shoe size is only a reference not a measurement. As many manufacturers size per dimension actually varies you should actually use the size to get you in the ballpark of the shoes you need to try on.
For a good fit shoes should be snug but not tight from side to side and should have approximately 0.5" to 0.75" of room left in front of the toes once the shoes are laced and tied or otherwise secured. Wearing shoes tighter than this can not only cause discomfort but also cause foot problems which eventually end up costing you a trip to the podiatrist such as ingrown toenails or even fractures in the feet.
