Possibly. What will help is to do aerobic exercises, to get the blood flowing better, so the lungs can heal faster, and to do weightlifting, to make the muscles and lungs stronger.
I smoked for 20 years and quit.I'm sure (and I'm sure that science will support me) that my lungs have recovered a great deal by now (I quit 20 years ago).but I feel so much healthier not to mention cleaner and richer now.
Unless you already have emphysema your lungs should return back to almost as good as new in less than a year.
YOUR LUNGS WILL DEFINATLEY CHANGE
