How long is mono contagious for? How long after exposure until symptoms?

Question:
How long does the germs from mono stay alive on surfaces?

Answers:
Mono is contagious for up to 6 months after you start feeling better from the initial symptoms. So when you start feeling the first signs of mono ( flu like symptoms) you will have it for about 3-5 days. Once you start feeling better you are still contagious for up to (but no limited to) 6 months!!! No kissing or sharing food or drinks for at least that long. Don't help spread mono!

Mono does not live long on surfaces, cause it needs a living host.
It will die after 15 minutes if another person does not pick it up.
