what are the effects of ibuprofen? and should i tell my boss I'm drinking this medicine?
Question:
Answers:
Hi there are a few side effects of ibuprofen, but it has the least gastrointestinal side effects amongst all the other NSAIDS. The side effects of ibuprofen can be divided into:
1) Gastrointestinal:
a) nausea
b) dyspepsia
c) GI ulceration with or without bleeding
d) raised liver enzymes
e) diarrhoea
f) esophageal ulceration
2) Neurological:
a) headache
b) dizziness
c) confusion
3) Cardiovascular:
a) salt and fluid retention
b) hypertension
c) heart failure
4) Others:
a) hyperkalaemia
b) renal impairment
c) bronchospasm
d) rash
I do not think that you have to tell your boss if you're drinking this medicine, coz if does not really affect your work. Unless you feel you have a reason for alerting him to this medication, then perhaps you should sound out. But ibuprofen is quite a commonly used NSAID, and it should not pose much of a problem.
Hope this helps. :D
Other Answers:
depends on how much you take, a general over the counter dose should not make you drowsy, but the prescription strength might, if you are concerned talk to you doctor or a pharmacist.
