I have very dry irritated eyes, what can help?
Question:

The best eye drops IMO are Systane, my opthamologist gave me a sample after my Lasik surgery and I have bought and used them ever since. These are for non-contacts users. If you wear contacts, the best ones IMO are Allergan Refresh, they are a little thicker than other brands. Also a trick I know - when I wake up in the morning my eyes are occassionally very dry (this is only since the lasik surgery so beware!) so I keep a small bottle of saline solution by my bed - I lay on my back and pour some into each eye and rest my eyes for 5 minutes before getting up. It helps.

Try visine. Allergens may be affecting your eyes, and it will help.
eye drops. keep them with you at all times!
According to the ads, Visine can help.
They're right. Eyedrops should help. Offhand I can think of two things that have made MY eyes become dry and irritated. First, as you age, your eyes do not produce as much moisture. Second, you could be developing some allergies. With that in mind, when you go looking for eyedrops to buy, you might think about finding some that are also for allergies.
It could also be caused by the way you sleep. If you are a person who sleeps with their eyes slightly open this will cause dry irritated eyes. Your doctor can prescribe an thick eyedrop for night time use that will help.
If over the counter eyedrops aren't working you should take a trip to the doctor who can prescribe something
