Drummer with a wrist problem...?

Question:
I've Been drumming for 14 years, I started when I was 6, I am now 20. Just recently my right wrist has hurt severely. I can barely bend it back while my left hand I can bend it and rotate it as much as I want. The trouble is in my right wrist, thats what I use on the Hi-Hat. Like I stated the problem just started happening it hurts to even push myself up out of bed or even pick up anything heavy. Any Help?

Answers:
Sounds like you may have some tendinitis in the wrist. You do not speak of any injury. Try taking an over the counter nsaid such as Ibuprofen, Aleve or even Tylenol Arthritis. This may help to relieve the pain and swelling that is going on inside the hand. If this does not work, call your MD

Other Answers:
maybe its arthiritis?
definitely get that checked out....it may be nothing but it might be something serious....if you dont get it checked out, it could lead to chronic pain for the rest of your life!!!
