Is my pinky finger ready to play basketball ?

Question:
Im almost 18 athletic and I broke my right pinky finger 8 days ago and it was swollen the first few days but right now isn;t significantly swollen. I saw the Dr he said I could resume playing basketball after 21days (from the day i hurt it), however he also said it takes about 6 weeks for the bone to fully heal. I get pain in it when I put pressure on it, and am wondering if three weeks is enough ?

Answers:
not so much.you should probably buddy tape it if you're going to do anything, or wear a splint. it does take about 6 weeks for the bone to completely heal.so up until then it is more susceptible to get hurt, plus it will take much less force to hurt it than it took before. keep it protected for the time being.
play against 2 year olds
i also broke my pinki finger last year during basketball and i did this theropy thing not go 2 a clinic but it excersizes your finger and then i was ready to play in two weeks
I think you should wait just a little while longer, because it might hurt your pinky bone if you put more and more pressure on it.
