For traditional medical solutions, the answer to managing arthritis is to manage the pain. You can ask your doctor for stronger pain medications specifically designed for arthritic pain. You can also apply liniments or ointments that will soothe your joints.

Other than drug therapy, the trick is to basically keep your joints warm and dry. Gloves, socks or a hot water bottle on a cold day work pretty well. When playing golf, use gloves and try to exercise your muscles in between swings to keep them from staying in one position for too long.

You will also have to stay away from certain foods that may trigger or worsen arthritic pain. These include nuts, beans, oatmeal and red meat.

Alternative medicine has also worked wonders for some people. Of particular help is acupuncture. So check out your local alternative medicine scene and try to locate a good acupuncturist. :)
try the Jacuzzi . it helps for awhile. then I rub bengay in and a brandy, but i'm not suggesting the brandy.
