Bleeding Belly Button?

Question:
Tonight while I was working at a restaurant I slipped and kind of twisted to the side and made a joke about not having to work out because i felt a strain across my abdomen, but after that it didn't really hurt. Later on in the shift I leaned up against the ice station and noticed my around my belly button felt bruised. Then about 30 minutes ago I was upstairs watching TV and was gently pressing down to try to tell where all it felt bruised (in a direct ring around the button and also a little to the right of it as well) and I also thought that it felt like my belly button was kind of pressing out from the inside so I looked at it (finally) and realized that in the right side of it is a small "scratch" that had only bled a little bit. It's not anymore just enough to cover the "scratch". it really looks like a small place that might be on your knee if you fell and scraped it while riding a bike, only nothing could have scratched or scraped it, and it kind of burns a little bit.

Answers:
Nothing to worry about-its happened to me a few time. You probably did bruise/scratch yourself at work.Put some neosporin on it and unless it gets infected just forget about it.

Other Answers:
Just keep it clean and covered - you should be fine. If you can put a Bandaid over it to keep it clean and prevent further mishaps, that would help.

If the brusing starts to bother you, apply Arnica gel to the area (but not over the open wound). This will help to draw out the brusing and swelling.

Arnica is available from most healthfood stores and some pharmacies. Don't worry about it.People get hurt. As they say, pain hurts! So does love.
~*Alyssa*~ Just kidding.(not!) Your belly button should be fine.
