I need some insight on a skin condition occuring on the bottom of my feet.?

Question: I have on occasion, knots that appear on the bottom of my feet. They are very painful and itch. They mysteriously come & go w/ no discernible factors relating to their appearance, and they pop up it seems at random in different places but exclusive to the bottom of my feet. Very painful to walk on, itchy. Then as quick as they appear, they may subside and not reappear for days or even weeks. Sometimes i wake up w/ them & other times i can feel the onset as a tingling sensation...any ideas

but it sounds like some kind of chancre or herpres outbreak.

Sounds interesting. The only thing that I know of would be something like plantars warts. But I think they usually linger for a while and don't pop up and down frequently. You allergic to a foot powder or laundry detergent in you socks?
