has anyone ever had a nerve root block?

im going to be having one soon this is my second time! do you know if it will help?has anyone had this done twice?

Is that the same as enervation? I've had three done. Now when I should be feeling pain because I have overdone or because of the injury, I keep on going and then my stomach tells me to stop by getting all jittery and edgy feeling.( My daughter's dr told her that the body has a way of telling you that there is an injury or problem by different ways. She doesn't feel pain much so her warning that something is wrong is her stomach being upset really bad.)By then It is too late to keep the pain away by common sense because you can't gauge where you are physically/neurologically anymore. The surgery was just a little thing, no problem but I don't like the way it left me feeling. It is better than the painful neck and headaches that I did have but I guess I just don't feel right about not being able to judge for myself when I need to stop doing something.This sounds all messed up but I hope you understand me.So yes, it helps but there is a side effect that you have to deal with. I have had 22 surgeries and the majority have been since 1991 and have had chronic pain since then and then had another injury in2000 and have had the last 4 since then and now I am disabled.. I've had three on different occasions...they definately helped...if you're nervous about it your Dr. will be glad to explain what's going to be done...No worries....God bless
