Pharmacists or nutritionists: B vitamin question?

Question:
Why do B vitamin complex formulas seem so out of whack? I'd expect them to provide a uniform percent of the RDA for each component, but they don't. Folic acid is especially low. And why don't they include PABA, inositol and cholin, which are essential parts of the B-complex? Can anyone explain the rationale behind the proportions - and the omissions?

Answers:
Poorly formulated supplements are a part of life I am afraid. You obviously know what to look for so look for it when you are after a B supplement.

There are so many different reasons I have heard of from the fact that the diet supplies plenty of this, to it is non essential etc etc. Who knows really!

As a practitioner I am able to access better formulations and I would recommend that you see a practitioner for your supplements when in need.
