Can anyone recommend some sleeping pills to me, or any other things to help someone sleep?

Question:
i'd prefer over-the-counter based products rather than those relying on a prescription.

Answers:
tylenol pm is good so is sommenex
As a believer in health-oriented solutions, I recommend L-Tryptophan (an amino acid) or Melatonin
well you can try tylenol PM but i have like 4 rx sleeping meds that works wonderss. talk to your doctor about lunesta, trazadone, and sonota. rozerum sucks btw i hated it and so did numerous people i know
Kava-kava root (tea) and two calcium pills in the evening knock me on my ***. I top that off with a glass of wine and I'm drooling on the couch in no time.
OTC sleeping pills are banned and any chemist found to be selling sleeping pills without a prescription can be booked under the law.
Instead of medicines, try reading a book when you go to bed and read under dim light which will make you feel drowsy.
DO NOT watch TV, have coffee or exercise before going to bed. Try meditation as it may help you to sooth your anxiety which is the most common reason for insomnia.
Benadryl works for me..very well.
Now I don't know if you have ever heard of Goody's headache powders but they have some now with a sleep aid. They come in a green box and you can get them at WalMart. The only thing that really stinks about them is that they really taste bad when you first start taking them. They hit your system really fast though so you fall asleep faster than just taking pills.
my daughter takes melatonin
there is also Tylenol pm
unisom
there are a lot of over the counter sleep aids at walmart
seen them, but can't recall names sorry.
GOD BLESS YOU.
Melatonin is great! You can get it several different dosage amounts. It's works pretty fast, sometime as soon as 20 minutes for me. It's not very expensive either. It's a naturally occuring thing in the body too. I think it's better than using Nyquil or Benedryl becasue those put medicines in you that you might not need.
Go speak to the pharmacist at your local pharmacy
