My newborn baby has two creases at the top of his butt crack - has anyone heard of this before?

Question:

Answers:
I don't see this as unusual.

Are you american? The correct term for this area of the body is ARSECRACK- butt means something completely different.
never heard of it but im sure theres nothing wrong, my 2nd kid spent her first week alive looking like a screwed up paper bag!
thats a pretty common thing. it was probably the position he or she was in while still inside you. it will go away, dont worry.
My friend had that as an adult! It's odd but not life threatening. My daughter did to a degree when she was a newborn, but all her little wrinkles ironed out!
when my 2 year old was first born she had a little extra crack at the top of hers. like when she got older she wouldn't be able to wear a thong. but she's kinda out grown it and it looks almost normal now. I just had to be careful and wipe there too when changing the diapers.cause yeah, poop got there too. but it didn't have a hole there, just an extra little crack. i thought it was strange.
Babies have all kinds of creases, as you no doubt know. This is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. Mine all did too. The creases will smooth out in time as he fills out with some fat and you will have little baby rolls to snuggle.
i wouldn't be concerned. everybody has something "abnormal" about them. in fact, many people would probably love to trade abnormalities with your baby. just be happy that he/she is healthy, and make sure he/she gets good formula (don't water it down- that's how babies get rickets and other vitamin/mineral deficiency associated problems!), has a clean bottom, and doesn't put anything in his/her mouth that they shouldn't. that said, congrats.
Its normal and nothing to worry about,my daughter has it (now5)and i myself have an extra buttcrack!its kool
Mine has it as well, v-shaped just for an inch at the top. Doc checked her spine and it was fine, make sure your doc does the same. She is almost 1 now and it has posed no concern. May be a blessing, If it keeps her from wearing hipsters that show off her butt in 15 years then I am all for it!
Hi, ask your health visitor or Doctor to check your baby's hips. My youngest child had an extra crease on one side and it turned out to be a clicky hip, good luck.
yep probably creased up should be fine.
my sons got two dents they look like dimples, midwife said it was nothing to worry about even tho she aint seen them before,he hasnt had no probs and hes nearly 5
