insurance through church?
Question:
Answers:
I don't know if your speaking of health or life. Be careful if it is life insurance. It could be a scam. My husbands uncle is a preacher and he sells insurance to members of the church. If, for any reason the member does not pay monthly he would take over the policy. If that person was to die. Tadah.. He gets paid. The family of course gets nothing. Sometmes families get policies on grandparents, and sick members of their family. So he would definitely benefit from those policies. be careful. It is highly inappropiate.
Other Answers:
Some church organizations offer group health insurance to their employees (ordained and otherwise) but I am not aware of any church that offers health insurance to its members (non-employees).
You may need to look into individual medical coverage if you don't have access to a group plan through work.
You can get some good simple-language guidance at this site http://www.wavehelp.com/short-term-medical-coverage.htm
Best wishes.
