It is only a temporary measure.The underlying reason for your parasthesia (tinging, etc) needs to be established, and treated if possible.The lignocaine infusion is a temporary symptom control and not a cure. There are many neuropathic conditions that can cause this damage to your nerve endings as well as non neuropathic..i.e diabetes. Hope this helps =)
