Dropped my LAST antibiotic accidentally in the trash! What should I do?

Question:
I've been taking Keflex 3x a day for 5 days. It was only a five day round. The very last of today's 3 accidentally got dropped in the trash. I started digging around to find it & was just grossed out. I know it's not good to stop antibiotics early, but since it's only one, will I probably be okay? Or should I try to dig again tomorrow? (ew!)

Answers:
Skipping the last pill is not going to make a world of difference regarding combating and eradicating the pathogen.
Addendum: DONT call the doctor for something as benign as this...he will think you are nuts!

Other Answers:
Nah, one pill (especially your last one) will not make or break you, and if you dug it out of the trash and consumed it, I can only imagine how sick you could become!
it's probably ok. You could try and call your pharmacy and see if they'll front you one dose. Keflex is pretty cheap. If not, just wait and if your infection doesn't come back (probably won't) just forget it. If so, call your doctor and you'll need a whole other round (5 days).
Leave it be. Call the doc, tell him of the situation, ask if all is well... If they are fine with it... Then let is go :)
Call the doctor and explain. Since few people abuse antibiotics, he will likely square it for you to get more antibiotic.
I wouldn't worry about it.
If it was the pill then i might worry, but missing one of your antibiotics cant hurt most people give up when they feel better anyway don't stress about it and if you are worried go to the Dr and see what they say
i wouldn't realli worry about it...just buy another one or explain to your doc.
you'll be ok as long as it wasn't a severe sickness. a cold, strep, virus, or something like that and you'll be fine.
you shouldve dug it out. i know it doesn't seem like a big deal, but the dr. wouldve prescribed keflex for 4 2/3 days if it wasn't a big deal. sometimes infections are hard to kill, and missing a pill could mean the difference in completely clearing up the infection, or just make it harder to get rid of the next time.
you either need to suck it up and find the pill, or call your dr. to prescribe one more pill, OR just ask his office if they have samples of the drug. sometimes they keep them around for just such an occasion.
good luck!
